Hydraulic cylinders – series production and custom-made designs

We have been developing, manufacturing and supplying hydraulic cylinders for a wide variety of applications for over 60 years. Our range covers all types of standard hydraulic cylinders:

• Plunger cylinder – single-acting hydraulic cylinder
• Differential cylinder – double-acting cylinder
• Synchronous cylinder
• Telescopic cylinder

We have invested in high-quality machinery that enables us to offer an extensive portfolio of cylinders with working pressures of up to 700 bar, piston diameters between 32 and 1,000 mm, strokes of up to 10,000 mm and a weight of up to 20 tons.

We can meet your specific technical requirements with three configuration levels:

For standard requirements we can supply a range of series cylinderswith maximum working pressures of 250 bar and a maximum stroke of 6,000 mm. This option encompasses the LD series with a welded cylinder base and head, the GD series with a threaded head and without end position damping, and the MD series, a robust screw-type design with sealing sleeves and adjustable end position damping.

Modified series cylinders or designs based on our standard cylinders are often an inexpensive and easily manufactured solution that can be tailored to non-complex special requirements. Examples of this include ATEX versions of standard cylinders or Viton designs for thermally sensitive environments.
 

However, our core competence is the development of special cylinders: special requirements call for custom-made solutions. We can develop and build individual special cylinders based on your specifications. Our highly skilled engineers are ready to assist you with their extensive knowledge and decades of experience.

We apply the same high quality standards to all our hydraulic cylinders. Each Hoven cylinder must pass a final hydraulic inspection before delivery. We are happy to provide a test certificate and comprehensive documentation on request.

We use only first-class components and materials. Needless to say, this also applies to our cylinder seals, which we source from Trelleborg, Chesterton, Merkel and other major manufacturers. High quality combined with extensive knowledge of the latest sealing technology is our guarantee for a long service life and in keeping with our motto ‘The best solution is always the right solution’.
